We are now hiring Founding Engineers across Frontend, Backend, and QA to build the core HAI Apps platform from the ground up. This is a found ... ing-team role with high ownership, sweat equity initially, and competitive full-time salaries post fundraise.Reporting To:You will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and work closely with the founding leadership team on architecture, product direction, and engineering excellence. What You'll Do As a Founding Engineer, you will help shape technology, quality, culture, and execution at HAI. Core Responsibilities (All Roles) • Establish a culture of engineering and quality excellence • Design, architect, and build scalable, reliable, high-quality systems • Own features and projects end-to-end (design → build → test → deploy → maintain) • Collaborate closely with founders, product, operations, and healthcare stakeholders • Communicate assumptions early, clarify requirements, and minimize rework • Understand how your work fits into the overall platform and business goals • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and onboarding new technologies • Support production systems when required • Continuously improve performance, reliability, and developer experience ROLE SPECIFIC FOCUS AREAS: Frontend Engineering (Web & Mobile) • Architect and build web and mobile applications (Android & iOS) • Own frontend systems using React JS, React Native, and JavaScript • Deliver intuitive, high-performance, and scalable user experiences • Ensure frontend code quality, performance, and maintainability Backend Engineering • Design and build cloud-native, scalable backend systems • Develop and maintain REST APIs and event-driven services • Work with .NET Core, C#, Azure services (Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, App Services) • Manage structured and NoSQL databases (SQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB) • Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and release management QA Engineering (Functional, Automation & Performance) • Own the end-to-end quality strategy across web, mobile (Android & iOS), and APIs • Perform functional testing to validate business logic, workflows, and user journeys • Design and maintain automation test frameworks for regression and integration testing • Conduct performance, load, and reliability testing to ensure platform scalability • Execute API testing, system testing, and UAT support • Integrate functional, automation, and performance tests into CI/CD pipelines • Proactively identify quality risks and production-impacting issues • Ensure healthcare-grade stability, accuracy, and release confidence What You'll Bring • 9+ years of experience (Frontend / Backend) or 6–9+ years (QA) • Strong ability to design and validate resilient, scalable, and robust systems • Hands-on engineering or testing mindset (not a coordination-only role) • Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills • Strong communication skills in a fast-paced startup environment • Experience working in Agile product engineering teams • Ownership mindset with comfort operating in ambiguity Required/Relevant Experience Depending on role, experience in one or more of the following: Frontend • React JS, React Native, JavaScript • Web & Mobile Application Development • Design patterns and performance optimisation Backend • .NET Core, C# • Azure cloud services • REST API development and system design • SQL and NoSQL databases • CI/CD and DevOps practices QA • Functional testing of complex workflows • Test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) • Performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Gatling or similar) • API testing and CI/CD-based quality gates Nice To Have: • Familiarity with AI-powered coding or testing tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) • Experience with AWS or GCP • Healthcare or health-tech domain exposure • Startup or early-stage product experience Compensation & Structure • Sweat equity during early stage • Competitive salaries post fundraise • Long-term value creation through ownership in the company • Opportunity to grow into engineering or quality leadership roles Why Join HAI? • Be part of the founding engineering team • Build healthcare technology with real-world impact at scale • A high-ownership culture with minimal bureaucracy and rapid growth. • Direct collaboration with founders and CTO • Opportunity to shape a national healthtech platform from Day 1 How to Apply Apply via LinkedIn or DM with: • Your background and current role • Area of expertise (Frontend / Backend / QA) • Why you want to build healthcare technology at scale If you’ve been waiting for an opportunity like this—one that offers real impact, ownership, and long-term legacy—let’s talk.
