Founding Engineer (Backend / AI) Global trade runs on logistics. Logistics still runs on emails, spreadsheets, and manual follow-ups. At Task Harmony, we’re fixing that. We’re building AI-native systems that read messy freight emails, extract rates, track shipments, and generate operational evidence directly from warehouse CCTV feeds. Task Harmony is founded by Divyam Goel (IIT Bombay, ex-Google, Uber) and Vaibhav Sawlani (BITS Pilani, ex-GoKwik). We already work with paying tier-1 logistics customers. Now we’re looking for our first senior individual-contributor engineer — someone who wants to help design the technical spine of the company. This is not a normal job. This is a Founding Engineer role. 📍 Role Details Title: Founding Engineer (Backend / AI) Location: Bengaluru (Work from Office) Experience: 2+ years of full-time work experience (freshers not eligible) Compensation: ₹8–12 LPA + ESOPs Team: 4 people (2 founders, 2 interns) Joining: Immediate / short notice preferred 🚀 What You’ll Build You won’t be maintaining legacy code. You’ll be building core systems from zero. Agentic Email Intelligence (Freight Forwarding) • Systems that understand unstructured business emails • Multi-agent pipelines: fetch → classify → extract → auto-respond • LLM-powered extraction of freight rates & shipment data • Prompt versioning, accuracy tracking, and observability • Gmail / Outlook / IMAP integrations at scale Warehouse Video Intelligence • Distributed pipelines processing CCTV feeds • Event detection, video clipping, evidence generation • Cloud ↔ edge orchestration with retries and fault tolerance Scalable Backend Infrastructure • Multi-tenant APIs used by enterprise customers • Async Python services with PostgreSQL • Cloud deployment on Azure (containers, queues, storage) • CI/CD pipelines with fast, confident production releases You’ll own features end-to-end — schema → API → deployment → monitoring 🛠 Tech Stack (Your Daily Weapons) • Backend: Python 3.11+, FastAPI, async PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy • AI / LLMs: OpenAI, Claude, agentic workflows, Langfuse • Computer Vision: YOLOv8, OpenCV, FFmpeg • Cloud: Azure (Container Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage) • DevOps: Docker, GitHub Actions • Frontend (working knowledge): React, TypeScript 💡 Who This Role Is For This role is for engineers who: • Have at least 2 years of real, full-time backend experience (Fresh graduates or candidates without full-time work experience should not apply) • Have shipped and supported production systems • Work independently without constant hand-holding • Want to work on LLMs in production, not demos or tutorials • Prefer ownership, responsibility, and speed over comfort ⭐ What Makes You Stand Out • Built async systems, queues, workers, or event-driven backends • Taken an LLM feature from prototype to real usage • Comfortable using AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) • Startup experience or high-ownership roles • You say “I built this”, not “my team built it” Work Environment (Transparent & Honest) • Work from office, Bengaluru - 6 days a week • Early-stage startup pace • Long ownership cycles, fast shipping • No hierarchy, no politics • Direct access to founders • Your code can impact revenue the same week If you want work-life balance, this is not the role.
