Full Stack Developer

About the job

Mercom India is looking for a Full Stack Developer with a focus on backend to help build and scale internal and client-facing platforms that support our research, events, analytics, and subscription-driven products. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-performance web applications. Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end web applications • Build responsive, high-performance frontend interfaces using React • Develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Node.js • Design and optimize database schemas and queries • Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features on time • Ensure application security, performance, and scalability • Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack • Contribute to CI / CD pipelines and deployment workflows • Take ownership of features end-to-end, from requirements through deployment and support Required Skills & Qualifications Frontend • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Hands-on experience with React (Angular / Vue acceptable with strong fundamentals) • Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, etc.) Backend • Strong experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs • Familiarity with Express.js or similar frameworks • Strong understanding of authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth) • Experience integrating third-party APIs and services Database • Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and / or NoSQL (MongoDB) • Ability to design efficient, scalable database schemas • Experience optimizing queries and improving performance DevOps & Tools • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows • Experience with Docker and CI / CD pipelines is a plus • Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) • Experience writing unit and integration tests (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or similar) Nice to Have • Experience building SaaS products • Exposure to microservices architecture • Familiarity with GraphQL • Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams • Understanding of performance optimization and caching Qualifications Any graduate with valid / relevant experience Experience : Only candidates with 3–6 years of experience may apply.
