About This Role We’re not looking for a “Python developer” or a “JavaScript developer.” We’re looking for a problem solver who happens to write code — someone who picks up whatever language, framework, or tool the problem demands and isn’t afraid to jump into unfamiliar territory. The landscape of software development has fundamentally changed. AI tools like Claude, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot are now core to how we build. We need someone who embraces these tools as force multipliers — not as a crutch, but as a way to move faster, think bigger, and deliver at a higher level than was previously possible. If you define yourself by a single tech stack, this probably isn’t the right fit. If you define yourself by your ability to figure things out, read on. What You’ll Do • Design, build, and ship full stack features across the entire application lifecycle — from database schema to user interface • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate delivery while maintaining high code quality and security standards • Architect solutions WITH_REPLACED a focus on scalability, maintainability, and long-term technical health — not just getting something to compile • Critically evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security vulnerabilities, performance implications, and alignment WITH_REPLACED system architecture • Unblock yourself: diagnose issues, research solutions, prototype approaches, and move forward without waiting to be told what to do • Collaborate WITH_REPLACED team members on system design, code reviews, and technical direction — contributing judgment, not just output • Continuously learn new technologies, frameworks, and patterns as the project demands. Who You Are Mindset & Disposition • You’re language-agnostic and tool-agnostic: you pick up what the problem requires and don’t wait for permission to learn something new • You’re a self-unblocker: when you hit a wall, you find a way around it — through documentation, AI tools, experimentation, or asking the right questions • You treat AI tools the way a skilled carpenter treats power tools: you could do it by hand, but you’re smart about leveraging technology to work faster and better • You exercise judgment over volume: you care more about whether something should be built a certain way than whether you can ship it quickly • You have intellectual curiosity and a bias toward action — you’d rather prototype and learn than debate endlessly in meetings. Technical Foundation • Strong fundamentals in software engineering: data structures, algorithms, system design, and architectural patterns • Demonstrated experience working across the full stack (frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure) — in any combination of technologies • Understanding of security principles: you can spot vulnerabilities in code (including AI-generated code) and know how to mitigate them • Comfort WITH_REPLACED version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows • Experience WITH_REPLACED cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar) and understanding of deployment and infrastructure concepts. AI-Augmented Development • Active, practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in real development work • Ability to write effective prompts that produce high-quality, contextually appropriate code • Critical eye for reviewing AI-generated output: you don’t blindly accept what the model produces, and you can identify subtle issues like race conditions, poor error handling, or security gaps • Understanding of when AI tools help and when they hinder — you know when to lean on them and when to think independently.
