The General Manager – Accounts will be responsible for overseeing the overall financial accounting function keeping in view the Income Tax Act, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. The role requires strong expertise in Ind AS, GST compliance, income tax compliance, strategic tax planning, MIS reporting and preparation of financial statements along with leadership of the firm. Responsibilities 1. MIS & Management Reporting Prepare financial MIS reports for senior management. Provide analytical insights to support operational and strategic decisions. 2. Financial Accounting & Reporting Oversee preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Ind AS. Ensure timely preparation of balance sheet, profit & loss statement, cash flow statement, and notes to accounts. Projecting and preparing project cash flow. Review accounting entries and ensure accuracy of books of accounts. 3. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory regulations. Supervise timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings. Handle assessments, notices, and correspondence with statutory authorities. 4. Financial Controls & Governance Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes. Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures. Ensure transparency and accuracy in financial reporting. 5. Budgeting & Financial Planning Support preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management. Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making. Support BD function with key inputs on FP & A. 6. Team Leadership Lead, mentor and develop the accounts and finance team. Allocate responsibilities and ensure timely completion of accounting tasks. Build a high-performance finance function. 7. Audit Management Coordinate and manage statutory audits, internal audits and tax audits. Liaise with external auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities. Ensure timely closure of audit observations and compliance requirements. Qualifications Chartered Accountant(CA)/CFS will be a plus. Additional certifications in finance or taxation will be an advantage. Experience Minimum 15 plus years of experience in Accounts. Proven experience in financial reporting, Ind AS compliance and GST/IT regulations. Expertise in ERP operations and MIS preparation. Experience in handling audits, statutory compliance and financial control systems. Experience in handling IT notices/appeal matters with competent authority. Experience in real estate/infrastructure sector will be preferred.
