General Manager, India

About the job

My client, a Premium Global Retailer is currently undergoing exciting transformation and growth in the India market. As such, they are looking for a General Manager, India to lead the overall commercial, operational, and financial performance of the Retail and F&B businesses. This role will own full P&L while driving growth, operational excellence, and stakeholder partnerships. Responsibilities: - Lead and grow the Retail and F&B businesses with full management for revenue, profitability, and long-term value creation. - Own end-to-end P&L, driving disciplined financial management, cost optimization, and delivery of commercial targets. - Set the commercial vision for India, activating brand strategies and culturally relevant consumer experiences. - Ensure operational excellence across all locations, balancing compliance, quality, efficiency in a highly dynamic environment. - Build and lead high-performing leadership teams while cultivating strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Requirements: - Over 15 years of senior leadership experience across multi-business retail and/or F&B environments, with P&L ownership experience. - Proven ability to scale and manage large-complexity businesses. - Strong commercial acumen with deep expertise in cost management, quality control, and operational discipline. - Strategic and hands-on leader equipped with analytical acumen.
