Part of the Group Indirect Taxation Team, leading one of the Two Teams, involved in indirect tax compliances, litigation & advisory for the Vodafone Idea Group. Key Result Areas/Accountabilities Leading team of 4-5 persons involved in indirect tax compliances, litigation & advisory for the Vodafone Idea Group. This role involves: • Working with Team to ensure indirect tax compliances • Preparation & working towards formidable & well-thought strategy for handling department audits, investigations, inquiries, etc. • Preparation & working towards the most suitable litigation strategy for timely disposal of pending litigations • Analysing & advising on various tax issues in relation to transactions and business initiatives. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience • Proficiency in indirect tax including Goods & Services Tax Act, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, etc. • Strong analytical and research skills along with excellent written communication/articulation skills. • Able to self-execute assignments when needed to ensure meeting of timelines & ensuring leadership in quality and smart work. • Sound managerial & supervisory skills. Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications • Chartered Account / LLB with 10 to 15 years of post-qualification experience. (Candidates who are CA & LLB both will be preferred) • Extensive work experience in GST era as well as erstwhile laws viz. service tax, VAT / Sales tax, customs, Foreign Trade Policy. • Dual experience of working in Consultancy & Corporate will be preferred. Years Of Experience PQE of 10 to 15 years.
