About the Role We are seeking a GM Sales to be a part of our company – this is a senior level role, working directly with Founders, with the opportunity to shape the company’s sales management, with plenty of responsibility and accountability. Responsibilities • Manage supply side processes of all Magic Billion (MB) international accounts: The GM Sales will oversee and manage multiple account managers for the different international accounts. They will work directly with the Leadership Team to ensure that all accounts are being sourced in the agreed timelines. They may be required to directly manage certain accounts as well – given the criticality of the client/timelines. • Tech integration and process optimization: The GM Sales will need to optimize processes across the supply chain and seek technology integration along the entire value chain – critical to ruthlessly eliminate manual interventions and automate where possible. They will ensure this is done across all accounts. The GM Sales will operate as a SWOT team to identify and solve any process related challenges and bed down new processes where needed. • Data analysis and insight generation: The GM Sales will identify the most critical metrics, track and manage them – the success/failures of new processes should also be governed by these. Ensure that the rest of the Sales team is following these critical processes, without fail. • Others: Being a startup, there will be many other areas of work; the GM Sales is expected to work collaboratively with the Founders on identified business needs. Qualifications • Essential Skills (MBA from a good B school) • 8+ years of work experience in operations and B2C sales – in the Edtech, Education, FMCG, telecom or retail sector. • Have demonstrated ability to lead and manage sales operations. • Problem solver and strong communication skills – both written and verbal – and ability to nurture relationships. • Detail oriented - focus on diligence, time management and quality of work. Required Skills • 8+ years of work experience in operations and B2C sales – in the Edtech, Education, FMCG, telecom or retail sector. • Have demonstrated ability to lead and manage sales operations. • Problem solver and strong communication skills – both written and verbal – and ability to nurture relationships. • Detail oriented - focus on diligence, time management and quality of work.
