Role: Growth & Lead Conversion Manager - App Funnel Company: AhaGuru Location: Chennai (Preferred) / Hybrid Reporting To: CEO Team: Product + Marketing + Tech About AhaGuru AhaGuru is a fast-growing EdTech company focused on IIT JEE, NEET, CBSE & ICSE preparation. Founded by Dr. Balaji Sampath (AIR 4, IIT JEE), AhaGuru is known for its strong conceptual clarity approach and structured skill-based learning. We are currently scaling our Micro Courses through the AhaGuru App and looking for a high-ownership Growth & Conversion Manager to drive lead nurturing and in-app revenue conversion. Role Summary We are looking for a highly driven, execution-focused individual to own and optimise the entire app funnel from: App Install → Signup → Activation → Purchase → Repeat Purchase. This role is not limited to CRM or campaign management. It involves building and improving the complete conversion journey within the app using experimentation, data, and behavioural nudges. Key Responsibilities 1. Lead Nurturing & Funnel Design • Improve % of users who complete login/signup after app download • Design and optimize onboarding journeys • Create behavioural nudges (push notifications, in-app messaging, WhatsApp triggers) • Improve 7-day and 14-day activation rates 2. In-App Conversion Optimisation • Improve micro course purchase conversion rates • Identify and reduce drop-offs in checkout journey • Design urgency-based triggers and promotional experiments • Work closely with product & tech team to implement A/B tests 3. Funnel Analytics & Insights • Track and report key metrics: o Install to Signup % o Signup to First Engagement % o Engagement to Purchase % o Checkout completion rate o CAC per converted user • Identify bottlenecks and recommend weekly improvements • Create dashboards for leadership review 4. Experimentation & Growth Initiatives • Run structured experiments to improve activation & conversion • Test pricing, bundling, urgency hooks, limited unlock models • Design conversion nudges for abandoned users • Support referral and loyalty conversion loops inside app Candidate Profile We are looking for candidates who: • Have 2–6 years of experience in growth, product marketing, D2C, EdTech or startup ecosystem • Have experience working on app funnels, SaaS funnels, or consumer conversion journeys • Have strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with data • Have experience working cross-functionally with tech and product teams • Are highly execution-driven and comfortable in a fast-moving environment Preferred (Not Mandatory): • Experience as a startup founder or co-founder • Experience in scaling 0–1 products • Experience in performance marketing or paid acquisition funnels • Familiarity with analytics tools (Firebase, Mixpanel, GA, Netcore, etc.) Ideal Personality Traits • High ownership mindset • Comfortable with accountability • Strong problem-solving ability • Fast decision-maker • Growth-focused, not title-focused • Able to thrive in performance-driven environments Key KPIs (First 6 Months) • Improve signup capture rate by 20–25% • Improve micro course purchase conversion rate • Reduce checkout drop-offs by at least 25% • Improve revenue per app install Compensation • Competitive fixed salary (as per experience) • Performance-linked incentives • High growth opportunity Interested candidates may send their updated resume to hr@ahaguru.com, with the subject line “Application for Growth & Lead Conversion Manager position”.
