The role is with a leading General Insurance company. Head – Health Product & Market Strategy Reports to- Head of Health Insurance Vertical Location- Mumbai Role Summary Own and drive the market-led strategy for the Health Insurance product portfolio. This role identifies high-value market opportunities through customer insights, competitive intelligence, and innovation, and translates them into profitable, scalable products. Acts as the central strategic partner to Actuarial, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Health leadership to ensure a differentiated and future-ready portfolio. Key Responsibilities Market & Portfolio Strategy • Lead market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer insight generation. • Identify growth opportunities, unmet needs, and portfolio gaps. • Define portfolio focus, prioritization, and strategic direction. Product & Innovation Leadership • Own end-to-end Health product portfolio strategy. • Partner with Actuarial/Product teams on product design, pricing, and enhancements. • Drive new product and digital proposition development from concept to launch. Go-to-Market & Positioning • Define value propositions, USPs, and product narratives. • Ensure consistent positioning across marketing, sales, and distribution channels. Governance & Stakeholder Management • Act as a strategic advisor to Health leadership on portfolio decisions. • Collaborate across Actuarial, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to ensure execution excellence. • Present recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums. Ideal Profile • 8+ years in Health Insurance, Insurance, Healthcare, or regulated industries. • Strong experience in product strategy, market analysis, or product management. • Proven track record of launching and scaling insurance products. • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence. Core Capabilities • Deep understanding of insurance markets and customer segmentation. • Strong strategic, analytical, and commercial judgment. • Ability to translate insights into clear product and go-to-market strategies. • Excellent communication and executive-level collaboration skills.
