HEAD HR OPERATIONS & BUSINESS PARTNERING Location: Mumbai – HO Team Size: 4 Senior Zonal HR Heads + HR BPs from Corporate Reporting To: CHRO THE OPPORTUNITY The Head HR Operations & Business Partnering will be responsible for providing strategic HR leadership and operational excellence across the organization. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving people strategies that enable business growth and transformation. The incumbent will lead HR operations across four regions, managing a diverse and large-scale workforce — primarily off-roll staff — and play a key role in evolving HR systems, enhancing productivity, and reinforcing a culture of performance and engagement. This position demands a strategic thinker, adept at business partnering, process transformation, and leading teams in a fast-paced, sales- and service-driven environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership & HR Operations Provide strategic direction to the HR Operations and Business Partnering function across all regions. Lead and manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle for a large, distributed workforce, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance. Oversee and revamp systems related to Recruitment, Time Office, KPI Tracking, Payroll, and Exit Management. Develop innovative manning models, working with business teams, RPOs, NGOs, and digital sourcing platforms to attract gig and flexible workforce talent. Human Resources Expertise Continuously improve HR processes across the employee lifecycle with a focus on GIG workforce management. Ensure HR data accuracy, process compliance, and adherence to organizational standards. Strategize and refresh HR Operations specifications to improve process effectiveness and employee satisfaction. Review and align the competency framework with evolving organizational values and goals. Business Performance & Analytics Track key HR metrics — including engagement, time-to-productivity, and retention rates — to identify improvement areas. Partner with business leaders to enhance sales performance, drive productivity, and ensure corrective measures for underperformance. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Foster strong relationships with business and HR stakeholders, promoting transparency and shared ownership of people outcomes. Support HR transformation projects including Recruitment, Benefits, and HRIS implementation. Manage the annual remuneration cycle, ensuring accurate benchmarking, bonus administration, and effective communication. Deliver professional, high-impact support to all internal stakeholders with a strong service orientation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Strong business partnership skills with the ability to translate business priorities into human capital strategies. Deep experience managing large distributed and off-roll workforce models. Data-driven mindset — adept at using analytics to guide decision-making and measure HR effectiveness. Proven expertise in driving workforce planning, change management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Collaborative, future-focused leader with a passion for innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA (Full-time) from a Premier Institute. 20+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong track record in HR business partnering and operations leadership. Experience working with distributed workforce and within sectors such as BFSI, Consumer Tech, Retail, or Pharma. Demonstrated success in linking HR strategies to business goals within growing and dynamic organizations.
