Head – Institutional Sales & School Partnerships
About the job
Institutional Sales & Relationship Management ·Lead institutional sales initiatives across group schools, primarily working with school chains and large school groups in India. ·Manage and nurture relationships with 10–15 key stakeholders per account, including promoters, directors, principals, academic heads, and procurement teams. ·Act as the primary point of contact for institutional clients, ensuring strong trust, credibility, and long-term partnerships. ·Drive account growth through renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and expansion into new schools within existing groups. ·Represent the organization in high-level meetings, negotiations, and presentations with school leadership. Team Leadership & Capability Building ·Work effectively with a lean team, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and performance excellence. ·Set up, mentor, and tune teams to deliver consistent outcomes despite limited resources. ·Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and solution-oriented thinking across the team. Process Setup & Operational Excellence ·Design, streamline, and implement key business processes including: •Catalogue planning and rollout •Academic coordination workflows •Promotions and campaign execution •Liaising processes between sales, academics, editorial, design, and operations ·Ensure documentation, timelines, and approvals are well-structured and followed consistently. ·Monitor adherence to processes and continuously improve efficiency and turnaround times. Academic Coordination & Liaison Management ·Oversee coordination between schools and internal academic teams to ensure smooth execution of academic deliverables. ·Act as a bridge between institutional clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring expectations, timelines, and quality benchmarks are met. ·Resolve academic, operational, or commercial escalations effectively and professionally. Brand Building, Sales & Marketing Oversight ·Oversee brand-building initiatives in collaboration with the marketing team, aligned with institutional positioning. ·Provide strategic inputs for sales and marketing collaterals such as catalogues, presentations, brochures, and proposals. ·Support marketing campaigns, school outreach initiatives, events, and partnerships that strengthen brand visibility and credibility. ·Ensure consistent brand messaging across all client-facing communication. Reporting & Strategic Inputs ·Track sales performance, client feedback, pipeline status, and process efficiency. ·Submit periodic reports and strategic insights to senior leadership on sales progress, market trends, and growth opportunities. ·Identify risks, challenges, and improvement areas, and proactively propose mitigation strategies.
