About the role Give is a 100 people strong organization, headquartered in Bengaluru. As India’s largest giving platform with more than 1 lakh active individual donors and more than 50 CSR clients, Give is a leading player within the Indian social impact ecosystem. We are looking for a Head for our People & Culture team, to take on end to end ownership of all people and culture responsibilities. As a growing organization, the mandate for this role will focus on building the leadership team, developing a robust mid and senior level talent pipeline, apart from managing all the other P&C activities. You will be a part of the Give leadership team, and will help guide the future strategy and success of the organization. We value high ownership, high independence, and a sharp focus on results. The ability to execute hands-on, not just strategize or manage teams, is a key success criteria for all leadership roles at Give. Responsibilities and outcomes - • Talent Acquisition • Position Give as a preferred employer for top tier talent keen to work in the social sector. Build a proactive pipeline for mid and senior level candidates. • Specific focus on CSR consulting, digital platforms, engineering and product skillsets • Effective use of various hiring channels and tools (AI assisted and otherwise), to maximize reach within a reasonable cost. • Employee Engagement • Engage with teams and individuals in a ‘work from home’ model, supporting team cohesion and connect with the larger organization • Ensure all employees have a comfort to reach out to the P&C team • Drive an understanding and appreciation of the organizational values to build a sustained culture of high integrity and high ownership • Leadership responsibilities • Actively engage with the business leads to learn the product offerings, market landscape, and our competitive positioning. • Support growth via relevant hiring, employee engagement and strategic inputs • Operations and Compliance, Audit • Manage lifecycle operations from hiring to exit, with associated data and reporting • Work closely with finance, compliance and operations teams to ensure all HR compliances are current and valid, audits are supported, and reporting is completed periodically. You will be successful if you come with • 15 years of overall experience with 4+ years in a lead role • An MBA or relevant post graduate qualification (tier 1 institutes only) • A genuine interest to be in the social impact sector (prior exposure to social impact organizations / NGOs will be a positive, but is not essential) • High comfort with data and relevant tools (Excel, AI tools etc) will be a strong positive • Experience with startups or small organizations would be a strong positive About Give Give exists to ‘make giving bigger and better’. It is one of the largest and most trusted giving platforms in India, and is a highly respected intermediary organization in the Indian social impact space. Give has three operating divisions - • Give.do - online platform for retail donors to donate to an NGO or a cause of their choice. Donations can be one-time or recurring subscriptions. The platform operates in India and in the US. More than 100,000 donors use the platform every year to donate to 800+ nonprofits. • Give Grants - consulting services and a SaaS platform for CSR management. Works with 50+ India based companies for CSR strategy, monitoring and evaluation, impact assessments and program design. • Give Discover - a platform of choice for verified NGO information. It currently has more than 57000 NGO profiles, and conducts 500+ detailed due diligences every year.
