Role Overview The Head – Sales & Marketing will be responsible for driving revenue growth, brand positioning, and market expansion for the convention center across local and PAN India markets. This role requires a strategic leader who can build strong corporate networks, develop national partnerships, and position the venue as a preferred destination for MICE, corporate, and large-format events. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Leadership • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales & marketing strategy aligned with revenue targets. • Identify new revenue streams across corporate, government, associations, exhibitions, and social events. • Position the convention center as a leading venue in both local and national markets. 2. Sales & Revenue Management • Drive MICE, corporate events, exhibitions, trade fairs, weddings, and government business. • Build and manage a PAN India sales pipeline. • Establish relationships with: • Event management companies • Corporate houses • Industry associations • Government departments • Exhibition organizers • Lead negotiations and close high-value deals. • Monitor revenue targets, conversion ratios, and occupancy rates. 3. Market Expansion (PAN India Focus) • Develop channel partners and sales representatives across major metro cities. • Participate in national trade shows, MICE expos, and industry networking platforms. • Identify strategic alliances with hospitality chains, travel operators, and event planners. 4. Marketing & Brand Building • Lead digital marketing, performance marketing, and brand campaigns. • Oversee website, SEO, paid ads, and social media strategy. • Conceptualize marketing collateral, presentations, and promotional campaigns. • Drive PR, media relations, and industry visibility. • Develop case studies and testimonials for brand positioning. 5. Team Leadership • Build and manage a high-performing sales and marketing team. • Set KPIs and performance metrics. • Provide mentorship and leadership to drive a result-oriented culture. 6. Budgeting & Reporting • Develop annual sales and marketing budgets. • Track ROI on campaigns and marketing spends. • Provide monthly/quarterly business performance reports to management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Revenue growth (YoY) • Venue occupancy rate • National client acquisition • Lead-to-conversion ratio • Marketing ROI • Brand visibility metrics Qualifications & Experience • MBA in Marketing / Business Management (preferred). • 10–15+ years of experience in hospitality, MICE, convention centers, large venues, or luxury event spaces. • Proven track record in PAN India sales expansion. • Strong network in corporate, government, and event management sectors. • Experience managing large revenue portfolios.
