About SpotDraft SpotDraft is on a mission to help legal and business teams move faster, together. Our AI-powered contracting platform is redefining how companies manage contracts, and our story deserves to be told in creative, human, and memorable ways. This role does not own administrative HR operations (payroll, policy admin, or HRIS maintenance). It also does not replace people managers in owning day-to-day team feedback or individual career decisions—you are the architect and coach, not the manager of their teams. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in an HRBP or People Partner role, ideally within a fast-paced or high-growth tech environment. Proven track record of owning the people strategy for a specific Business Unit or department, acting as a bridge between leadership and individual contributors. Experience designing and driving strategic people initiatives from scratch, rather than just executing existing playbooks. Hands-on experience in at least one of the following pillars: Performance Management, Talent Management, or Workforce Planning. Highly Analytical: You lead with data. You are comfortable building headcount models, analyzing attrition trends, and using metrics to influence business decisions. Influence business decisions with credibility and data-backed insights. Retention Champion: Improve retention through early identification and mitigation of attrition risks. Performance Excellence: Drive high-quality performance cycles with clear goals, fair evaluations, and strong calibration. Lifecycle Design: Ensure consistent, well-designed employee experiences across the entire lifecycle. Proactive Strategy: Execute a people strategy that supports business growth and prevents escalations. Review people metrics (attrition, engagement, performance signals) and flag risks early. Support managers on performance, feedback, role clarity, and difficult conversations. Drive ongoing performance, engagement, and pulse check rhythms. Collaborate with TA, HR Ops, and Finance on hiring and workforce planning. Work with some of the sharpest minds in legal tech. Expand your network: Take ownership of projects and see your work in action.
