The HR & EHS Senior Officer will provide key administrative support in relation to compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle (onboarding, employee management and off-boarding) processes and activities. The employee will prepare and process the monthly payroll, responding to payroll queries and acting as a key point of contact for employees across the business. The employee will support the team with collation, reporting and analysis of EHS and facilities related reports and metrics. This position will require close collaboration with all members of the HR team. Husco is committed to building an environment for employees to be able: • To have the flexibility of their own work and put a personal ‘stamp’ on their output • Continuously expand and development their professional skills and knowledge • Create a product for our customers that serves a greater purpose to communities around the world PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES • Shop Recruitment – Support the end-to-end recruitment of shop floor employees, ensuring timely hiring as per manpower requirements. Liaisons with temporary recruiters and supports shop onboarding activity as needed. • Payroll and Benefits Processing and Systems Administration: Maintain and routinely audit time and attendance, HRIS and payroll databases, and ensure flawless payroll processing. Acts as first point of contact for payroll and benefits-related employee queries, ensuring timely resolution of issues and queries. Manage onboarding and off-boarding of employees onto time and attendance, door entry or security logs, HRIS and payroll systems. Track and report attendance and benefits enrolment. Ensure pay, hours and leaves practices are legally compliant and consistent, ensuring that records are appropriately maintained and regulatory and internal reporting collated and reported accurately and on time. Support activities to complete bonus cycle processing and merit cycle processing. • Facilities and Grounds Management – Supports the team in ensuring the maintenance, safety, and functionality of facilities and surrounding grounds to ensure a clean, secure, and efficient environment. Coordinate activity with security, transport, facilities, and gardening contractors and housekeeping services. Provides administrative support for the employee daycare centre and occupational health centre. • EHS Administration – Responsible for collating, reporting, analyzing and communicating safety and environmental metrics that will help the team to build and sustain a proactive safety culture within the HIP operation. This includes scheduling and tracking agreed safety-related trainings and ensuring accurate reporting of regulatory and internal compliance metrics in line with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Supports the maintenance of ISO certification to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in quality and environmental systems. Responds to environmental compliance requests from customers and suppliers as needed. • Support HR Team. Coordinate and organize the activities of a high volume, fast-paced HR organization. This will include preparation of correspondence, some of which is highly confidential, arranging appointments and meetings, preparation of presentation material, and maintenance of key documents, as requested. Supports vendor management, including canteen billing and creation of requisitions and purchase orders. Supports CSR activities as required. Clerical assistance and data entry support will be required. • Strong Team Player and Contributor. Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced and high pressure atmosphere. Combines strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution. Trains human resources department and organization staff on system access and utilization. Minimum Qualifications • Relevant experience in HR administration, Occupational Safety required. Master’s degree preferred. • Experience working with ADP HR or other HRIS database management skills. • Experience supporting ISO 140001 and ISO 9001 certification and renewal audits preferred but not essential. • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment. • Hands-on experience in regulatory reporting including labor, EHS, CSR, and compliance. • Working knowledge of HR functions and applicable labor law. • Requires familiarity with HR policies and record-keeping requirements. • High level of computer literacy to include: Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and able to use the Internet as an information source. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, producing results with accuracy and reliability. • Patience and the ability to function in a high-energy and occasionally high-stress environment. • Highly confidential in all aspects of professional interaction. • Exhibits a positive image, pleasant personality, and high level of professional demeanor. • Proven organizational and time management skills. Able to multi-task, tolerate peak workloads working overtime as required. Ability to work independently and handle several projects at a time.
