Location : Janakpuri, West Delhi, New Delhi (On-site) School Type : Unaided, CBSE Senior Secondary (Classes I–XII) Working Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM Employment Type : Full-time (Contract) Start Date : March 23, 2026 About the Role An established, reputable, top ranked CBSE Senior Secondary School in West Delhi is seeking an experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of the Delhi School Education Act & Rules (DSEA / DSER) and experience working in a Senior Secondary school (Classes I–XII). This role leads day-to-day HR operations for teaching and non-teaching staff—ensuring compliance, disciplined attendance and leave governance, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, staff training, and consistent HR reporting. Key Responsibilities 1) Compliance & HR Documentation (DSEA / DSER) • Ensure HR policies and practices align with DSEA / DSER and applicable DoE / CBSE expectations. • Maintain staff records / service files, appointment / confirmation letters, contracts, statutory registers, and inspection / audit-ready documentation. • Support inspections / audits and prepare required HR reports for leadership. 2) Workforce Planning & Talent Pipeline • Conduct workforce planning for the academic year : staffing plans, vacancy forecasting, retirement and succession, and replacement planning. • Build and maintain a ready pipeline of substitute teachers (subject-wise) and candidates for contract / temporary positions to ensure classroom continuity. • Maintain an active database of qualified candidates (PRT / TGT / PGT + non-teaching + contract) and coordinate rapid deployments when needed. 3) Attendance, Punctuality & Leave Governance • Review daily attendance, arrival and departures, monitor punctuality, report late comers and take disciplinary action as per school policy. • Manage / approve leave requests as per policy; ensure documentation and coordinate coverage. • Provide weekly trend reports (late coming, absenteeism, leave patterns) with insights and recommendations. 4) Recruitment & Onboarding (Teaching + Non-Teaching + Contract) • Lead hiring for PRT / TGT / PGT and non-teaching roles (admin, admissions, accounts, front office, support). • Manage sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference checks, document verification, offer letters, and joining formalities. • Ensure smooth onboarding and rapid staff ramp-up during peak hiring periods. 5) Performance Management & ACR Records • Run the annual performance review cycle for teaching and non-teaching staff in partnership with the Head of School • Schedule one-on-one performance reviews. • Maintain ACR / APAR-style records (as per school policy) for full-time and contract staff (teaching and non-teaching staff). • Support performance improvement, confirmations, and documentation for increments / role changes. 6) Staff Training & Compliance Training • Develop the school’s staff training calendar and execution plan (annual / quarterly), in coordination with leadership. • Coordinate and track mandatory compliance and safety trainings , including : o Cyber Safety / Digital Safety • Disaster management and Emergency Response (preparedness, drills coordination, emergency protocols) • POSH (Sexual Harassment Prevention) and other statutory / mandatory compliance trainings, Child safety / safeguarding practices (as applicable to school + POCSO Awareness, Fire Safety + Evacuation Drills, First Aid / Basic CPR, Canteen Food Safety & Hygiene (safe handling, cleanliness, storage), Security & Visitor Management (front office + guards), Student Wellbeing / Mental Health awareness (teacher basics), Lab Safety • Support teacher development training coordination, including pedagogy , classroom management, and instructional best practices (through internal sessions or external partners). • Maintain training attendance records and completion tracking; provide periodic training compliance reports. 7) Employee Relations, HR Communications & Benefits • Manage employee relations : staff grievances, disciplinary documentation, conflict resolution, and confidential case handling; acknowledge, document, investigate (as appropriate), and resolve issues in a timely, fair, and confidential manner. • Maintain a grievance register / case log , track actions and closure timelines, and escalate sensitive matters to the Principal / School Head when required. • Draft HR communications (policies, circulars, staff notices, templates) and ensure consistent messaging. • Coordinate benefits administration (as applicable) and resolve HR policy / entitlement queries. 8) Payroll Inputs, Statutory Coordination & Lifecycle Management • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with accounts / payroll partner : attendance, leaves, deductions, arrears, and final settlement inputs. • Support statutory compliance inputs as applicable (PF, ESI, gratuity, TDS, bonus, etc.). • Manage resignations, separations, clearances, handovers, retirements, and ensure continuity of operations and seamless transitions. 9) HR Systems, ERP & Reporting • Use School ERP (preferably ENTAB ) and HR systems / HRMS for staff records, attendance, and reporting. • Maintain HR dashboards / MIS : headcount, hiring pipeline, attendance / leave trends, attrition, and training compliance. • Build SOPs to streamline HR workflows and improve turnaround time. Skills & Tools • Experience with School ERP systems (preferably ENTAB ) and HR reporting workflows. • Working knowledge of HRMS / HR systems for employee lifecycle, leave, and documentation. • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Comfortable using AI productivity tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) and automation tools for reporting, documentation, and process efficiency. • Strong documentation skills, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality. • Strong communication skills ( English ) Experience & Education Requirements • Graduate required ; MA, MBA / PGDM in HR or PG Diploma in HR preferred. • HR / payroll / compliance certifications are a plus. • 5–10+ years HR / Administration experience; • 3+ years in a CBSE Senior Secondary school (I–XII) strongly preferred. • Hands-on experience with DSEA / DSER compliance , documentation standards, and inspection / audit readiness. • Experience managing recruitment, onboarding, attendance / leave governance, workforce continuity, performance reviews, and employee relations. • Experience coordinating staff training and tracking compliance completion (POSH, disaster management, etc.).
