We are having an opening with our esteemed client in Diesel Generator (DG) Sets Please find below Job Description for International Sales Representative – Diesel Generator (DG) Sets Job Title: International Sales Representative – Diesel Generator (DG) Sets Location: India (with international travel as required) Department: Sales & Business Development Reports to: Head – International Business ... / Director – Global Markets Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Sales Representative to spearhead global business development for our Diesel Generator (DG) sets. Based out of India, this role will focus on expanding our footprint across emerging and developed markets, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through consultative selling and technical solutioning. Key Responsibilities • Market Expansion & Lead Generation o Identify and develop new international markets for DG sets across Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle East & ANZ region. o Build and manage distributor network & Dealer alliances • Sales Execution & Customer Engagement o Drive end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, technical presentations, proposal development, negotiation, and closure. o Customize solutions based on application (prime power, standby, rental, telecom, industrial, etc.). • Commercial Strategy & Forecasting o Develop country-wise sales plans, pricing strategies, and volume forecasts. o Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence for strategic decisions. • Technical Coordination o Liaise with engineering and product teams to ensure alignment on specifications, certifications, and compliances o Support Distribution Channel with pre-sales and post-sales technical queries. • International Travel & Representation o Represent the company at global exhibitions, trade shows, and distributor/ customer meetings. o Conduct site visits and application studies for key accounts. Qualifications & Experience: Criteria Education: Bachelor’s in mechanical / electrical engineering Experience: 10-15 years in DG set / Industrial equipment sales, with international exposure Industry Knowledge : Power generation, industrial engines, gensets, Industrial Machinery Skills: Technical sales, Distribution management, Export documentation Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages a plus Travel: Willingness to travel internationally 30–50% Preferred Attributes • Proven track record in achieving export sales targets • Familiarity with international trade regulations and INCOTERMS • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills • Ability to work independently and in matrixed global teams
