About the job

About The Opportunity We are hiring a hands-on Java Backend Developer to join an engineering team delivering resilient, high-throughput backend services. You will design, build and operate Spring Boot microservices, integrate with databases and messaging layers, and help automate CI/CD and observability for mission-critical applications. Role & Responsibilities • Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot following microservices patterns and RESTful API standards. • Build and maintain data access layers using Hibernate/JPA and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability. • Integrate services with messaging systems and third-party APIs; implement reliable retry, idempotency, and error-handling strategies. • Containerize applications with Docker and collaborate on deployment automation and environment configuration for on-prem/cloud targets. • Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and drive improvements in code quality, observability, and incident response. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps) to deliver features on schedule and mentor junior engineers on backend best practices. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have • Java • Spring Boot • RESTful APIs • Microservices • Hibernate • SQL • Docker • Git Preferred • Message brokers (Kafka or RabbitMQ) • CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions) • Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) Qualifications • Proven experience building backend applications with Java and Spring Boot in production environments. • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems patterns, and database design. • On-site work required in India; open to candidates who can join at the designated location.
