Java Backend Lead Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Lead Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, Microservices, and Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will lead backend development efforts, design scalable microservice architectures, guide the engineering team, and deliver high-quality, cloud-native solutions. Responsibilities: • Lead backend development using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js. • Architect, design, and implement scalable microservices and distributed systems. • Develop high-performance REST APIs and backend components. • Deploy, manage, and optimize solutions on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, AKS, API Management). • Collaborate with architects, frontend teams, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. • Ensure best practices in code quality, performance, and security. • Guide and mentor junior developers; perform code reviews and technical leadership. • Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure system stability and reliability. • Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and architectural discussions. Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • 8+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead role. Strong expertise in: • Java, Spring Boot • Node.js • REST APIs • Microservices architecture • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services (App Services, Functions, API Gateway, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB). • Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. • Strong experience with Git, CI / CD pipelines, and DevOps tools. • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and leadership abilities. Preferred Skills: • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS). • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Kafka, or Service Bus. • Familiarity with API security, OAuth2, JWT. • Understanding of Agile / Scrum development practices.
