About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Java Developer with Spring Boot experience to join their engineering team in Ahmedabad. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and RESTful services that power modern web platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with experience working with relational databases and collaborating in cross-functional development teams. This role requires a proactive developer who can contribute to building high-performance backend systems in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot • Build and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications • Write clean, structured, and reusable code following best coding practices • Work with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application and performance issues • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and product managers • Contribute to continuous improvement and system optimization Required Skills • 4+ years of experience in backend development • Strong expertise in Core Java and Spring Boot • Good understanding of OOP concepts and Design Patterns • Experience building REST APIs & Microservices Architecture • Strong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) • Experience with Git or version control systems • Understanding of Spring Security, JWT, or authentication mechanisms • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills • Fluent English communication skills • Must be currently based in Ahmedabad • Willing to work Work From Office (WFO) Nice-to-Have Skills • Experience with Docker or containerization • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies • Experience working in distributed systems or high-scale applications.
