Our client, a prominent data analytics firm focused on leveraging big data for business insights, is looking for an ambitious Junior Data Scientist to join their team in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, IN. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced data scientists, contributing to real-world projects and learning cutting-edge analytical techniques. Responsibilities will include: Assisting in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources. Performing exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, trends, and insights. Developing and implementing statistical models and machine learning algorithms under guidance. Collaborating with senior data scientists to build predictive models and data visualizations. Contributing to the development of reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings. Testing and validating model performance and accuracy. Learning and applying new data science tools and methodologies. Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Documenting code and analytical processes thoroughly. Supporting data-driven decision-making across different business units. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Strong foundational knowledge of statistics, probability, and mathematical concepts. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R. Exposure to data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and a passion for data. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, IN.
