Job Description : • Learning and growing in a fast-paced payments technology environment where you'll be mentored by experienced engineers. • Writing clean, testable Java code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices with AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor or JetBrains AI + IntelliJ, etc. • Working collaboratively in cross-functional Agile / XP teams with pair programming sessions and continuous feedback loops. • Building and maintaining microservices that process thousands of payment transactions reliably and securely. • Debugging issues, writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, and taking ownership of your code from development to production. • Staying curious about emerging technologies, payment processing workflows, and modern development practices. • Participating in code reviews, learning from feedback, and contributing to improving team practices. • Working with CI / CD pipelines and seeing your code deployed frequently in a DevOps culture. Qualifications : Experience & Education : • 0-2 years of professional software development experience. • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP principles) Technical Skills : • Proficiency in Modern Java (Java 11+) or other JVM languages (Kotlin, Scala). • Experience with microservices architecture concepts and RESTful API design. • Solid understanding of unit testing and integration testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks. • Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology - ability to write tests before implementation. • Familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC). • Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and basic SQL. • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows. • Knowledge of Agile / XP methodologies and iterative development practices. Soft Skills : • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and willingness to ask questions. • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices. • Ability to work effectively in pair programming and collaborative environments. Nice to have : • Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, JetBrains AI + IntelliJ). • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker). • Familiarity with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS). • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra). • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). • Understanding of security best practices and PCI-DSS compliance basics. • Contributions to open-source projects or personal coding projects on GitHub. • Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger / OpenAPI)
