About the job

In this role, you will serve as a key enabler of the Sales function for Palsgaard India specifically focusing/scouting for customers in West India managing and expanding the Palsgaard customer base in Bakery, Dairy (Ice -Cream), & Confectionery. You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with key customers within their designated region, understanding their needs and provide solutions that will drive sales and profitability. The role reports to the Corporate Accounts & Category Lead (Bakery, Lipids & Confectionery). Responsibilities: • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales objectives within the assigned region. • Manage and drive the sales process from opportunity to actual sales – CRM: • Find, grow, and win opportunities. • Negotiate contracts according to policies (CCV) to maximize value for Palsgaard. • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Understand customer needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements. • Suggest new product or application development based on customer insight. • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. • Work closely with other departments, including product development and supply chain to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives. • Cooperate and communicate with all stakeholders involved in the sales process. • Provide input to sales forecast and validate larger accounts. • Ensure compliance to Palsgaard's values: Loyalty, Responsibility, and Commitment. Desired Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an advantage. • Minimum of 8-15 years of experience in sales, preferably in the food ingredient or related industry. • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. • Strong understanding of the food ingredient market and customer needs. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Ability to travel within the region as required.
