About DashamLabs Inspired by India’s legacy of scientific innovation, DashamLabs is building a new class of advanced materials engineered for a low-carbon future. We focus on translating breakthrough materials from lab-scale innovation into scalable industrial solutions. Our first product—high-performance insulation based on advanced aerogel technology—targets energy efficiency across industries such as cold chain, mobility, infrastructure, and heavy industry. We are now entering the commercialization phase and building our early market presence. About the Role We're looking for a Lead Business Development to drive the commercialization of high-performance insulation materials and help build DashamLabs’ early commercial pipeline. This is a zero-to-one role focused on: · Identifying high-value applications · Building a strong customer pipeline · Converting early interest into pilots and commercial relationships You will work closely with founders, product, and engineering teams to shape how our materials are adopted in real-world industrial use cases. What You Will Do 1. Market Discovery & Pipeline Building · Identify and prioritize industrial use cases where advanced insulation delivers clear value (performance, energy savings, cost) · Map and build a pipeline of target customers across sectors such as energy, mobility, infrastructure, and industrial systems · Conduct structured market research and customer conversations to validate demand and refine use cases 2. Customer Engagement & Pilot Development · Initiate and build relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and industrial customers · Drive meetings, technical discussions, and on-site visits · Support pilots, trials, and product validation in collaboration with internal technical teams · Translate customer requirements into actionable inputs for product development 3. Commercial Conversion & Partnerships · Manage the pipeline from first interaction to pilot to commercial discussions · Support conversion of early adopters into anchor customers · Build relationships with channel partners (EPCs, contractors, distributors, system integrators) · Contribute to pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy What Success Looks Like (6–12 months) · Built a high-quality pipeline across 2–3 priority sectors · Initiated and progressed multiple pilot projects with credible customers · Converted at least 2-3 anchor customers or near-commercial engagements · Developed strong insights into key applications and customer needs Core Requirements · 4–6 years of experience in B2B business development, technical sales, or market development. · Background in engineering or industrial sectors (mechanical, chemical, materials, energy, etc.). · Comfortable engaging with both technical and commercial stakeholders. · Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in ambiguity. Good to Have · Experience in advanced materials, industrial products, or engineering solutions. · Exposure to insulation, thermal systems, energy efficiency, or process industries. · Experience working with OEMs, EPCs, or industrial customers. · Strong communication, structured thinking, and problem-solving ability.
