What You'll Do We are looking for a strategic, execution-minded Lead Data Scientist to be the powerhouse behind Docusign’s transformation from Sales-Led to Self-Serve-Led growth. Partnering with a cross-functional squad, you will expand the self-serve engine to reach and grow customers through a seamless omni-channel experience. You will lead strategic analyses and hands-on experimentation to discover, validate, and scale new ways to drive acquisition, expansion, and retention. In this high-impact position, you will lead performance readouts, design end-to-end experiments, and deliver compelling insights that pave the way for a frictionless customer journey. Our ideal candidate combines best-in-class analytical skills and a strong strategic mindset with a proven record of turning data into business impact. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Growth Data Science. Responsibility • Set the analytics strategy and roadmap for the Self‑Serve-Led Growth segments, aligning with company‑wide growth objectives and steering high‑impact initiatives • Design, implement, and analyze experiments (A/B tests, causal inference) that inform product, marketing, and GTM decisions and quantify business impact • Proactively identify growth opportunities and risks, using forecasting and scenario modeling to guide resource allocation and prioritization • Translate complex analyses into clear, data‑backed recommendations for senior leadership, influencing strategic direction across Growth, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success • Proactively identify growth opportunities and risks, using forecasting and scenario modeling to guide resource allocation and prioritization • Provide regular reporting on key metrics to executive leadership, highlighting successes, identifying risks, and recommending proactive solutions • Apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, customer segmentation, LTV analysis) to understand customer behavior, forecast outcomes, and inform strategic initiatives. What You Bring Basic • 8+ years of experience in Analytics, Data Science, or related roles - ideally spanning growth analytics, strategic/consulting analytics, or sales‑operations analytics in a SaaS environment • Deep expertise with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, causal inference) and strategic analysis • Advanced proficiency in SQL plus Python or R, and strong command of visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or equivalent • Demonstrated ability to distill complex analytical findings into concise, actionable recommendations for executive audiences • Proven ability to independently identify growth opportunities and strategically influence cross-functional teams Preferred • Prior partnership with Growth Product Management, Marketing, or GTM leadership, influencing strategy through data‑driven insights • Experience operating in hybrid self‑serve / sales‑assisted SaaS business models • MBA, MS, or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex data analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
