Lead Data Scientist

About the job

As a Lead Data Scientist at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth management, you will be an integral part of an agile team that is constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Key Responsibilities: - Execute standard AI/ML/LLM software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting. - Write secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language. - Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications. - Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation. - Apply technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity. - Contribute to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience. - Experience in AI/ML/LLM, application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines. - Experience working with Large Language Models (LLM)/GenAI technology like OpenAI API, (GPT models), HuggingFace models, etc. with a solid understanding of Transformers architecture. - Experience in Natural Language Processing and NLP tools and libraries like Spacy. - Experience in building, evaluating, and deploying Machine Learning Models into Production. - Good data science skills for the analysis of data and documents, and thinking through how that data can be processed efficiently. - Advanced proficiency in developmental toolsets especially in relation to Python. - Good Experience in Java development, cloud deployments, and in continuous delivery and DevOps tooling.
