Role Overview: You will be joining Wells Fargo as a Lead Software Engineer within the COO Technology group, responsible for providing technology services for the Chief Operating Office, including operations, strategic execution, data solutions, regulatory relations, customer experience, and more. Your role will involve working on the Generative AI Team to build next-generation autonomous workflow automation systems that transform business processes through intelligent agent orchestration, knowledge extraction, and observability. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will architect complex agentic systems, build scalable ETL pipelines, and mentor team members on best practices in Generative AI. Key Responsibilities: - Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments - Contribute to large-scale planning of strategies - Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs associated with technology domain - Review technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures - Resolve complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs leveraging understanding of function, policies, and procedures - Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals - Act as an escalation point, provide guidance to less experienced staff, and lead projects Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education - Additional Required Qualifications: - 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with 2+ years in GenAI/AI systems implementation - 2+ years hands-on experience with Python 3.12+ and modern AI/ML frameworks - Experience in designing and implementing multi-agent systems or agentic AI workflows - Cloud platform experience with focus on AI/ML services - Experience with CI/CD/DevOps tools, async Python patterns, database design, and problem-solving skills
