About the job
The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager will lead the Learning and Development function for India, partnering closely with HR Managers and business leaders across Manufacturing, Technology, Shared Services, Digital & IT, and Commercial domains. Position Responsibilities: L&D Manager-India is responsible for designing and delivering all training and workforce development solutions for various businesses in India. Develop to ensure that all employees are trained and ready to perform against the stated performance expectations for each role/job classification. • Strategic Leadership: * Develop and execute comprehensive Learning and Development strategies aligned with Corning’s business goals and organizational growth objectives. * Lead initiatives to make the organization future-ready. * Promote the use of technology and AI in learning processes. • Stakeholder Collaboration: * Partner with HR Managers and business leaders to identify and address talent development needs. • Program Design and Delivery: * Leads the needs assessment and definition of training requirements for all roles in India. * Key programs include: New Employee Orientation (NEO), supervisory and management development training, technical training, job skills training, and leadership development programs. • Promote Technology in Learning: * Drive the adoption of innovative learning technologies. • Culture Development: * Work with HR and business leaders to design initiatives that promote a positive organizational culture. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required. • 12-15 years of experience in Learning and Development roles within Multi-National Companies (MNCs). • Strong communication skills and project management skills.
