General Job Information: Job title : Logistics Manager Company / Unit : Rama Phosphates Limited Department : Logistics Location : Indore Objective of Job: To ensure efficient planning, coordination, and execution of logistics and supply chain operations by delivering materials to the right place at the right time, optimizing costs, improving service levels, and supporting business growth through effective logistics strategies. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure timely availability and movement of materials to support uninterrupted production and customer deliveries. • Plan, manage, and monitor inventory levels, vehicle routing, delivery schedules, and transportation costs. • Coordinate and control the complete order-to-delivery cycle, ensuring orders are prioritized and processed within defined timelines. • Proactively manage and resolve delivery issues, delays, shortages, and customer escalations. • Extract, analyse, and review daily, weekly, and monthly logistics performance reports and KPIs. • Evaluate operational performance and present insights, reports, and improvement plans to senior management. • Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance logistics efficiency and service quality. • Allocate and manage manpower, fleet, and other resources based on fluctuating operational requirements. • Lead, supervise, and motivate the logistics and warehouse team to achieve performance targets. • Liaise and negotiate with customers, transporters, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and cost control. • Support business development initiatives by acquiring new contracts and proposing logistics solutions to meet customer needs. • Identify logistical challenges, analyze root causes, and develop practical and cost-effective solutions. • Continuously improve logistics processes, systems, and workflows to enhance overall business performance. • Develop and implement alternative sourcing, distribution, and supply strategies to improve reliability and resilience. Educational Qualification: • MBA Graduate Experience: • 15 20 years of experience with Bulk Product handling in reputed company, preferably in a manufacturing industry (e.g., Fertilizer, Petrochemical, Chemical)
