Job Summary The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient transportation, storage, and distribution of goods. This role ensures that supply chain operations run smoothly, cost-effectively, and meet organizational goals and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities • Plan, manage, and monitor end-to-end logistics operations (inbound and outbound). • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams. • Optimize transportation routes and reduce logistics costs. • Manage inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment. • Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, dispatch, and safety compliance. • Track shipments and resolve delays or disruptions proactively. • Implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and service levels. • Ensure compliance with legal regulations, import/export rules, and safety standards. • Analyze logistics data and prepare performance reports (KPIs, cost analysis, delivery timelines). • Lead and train logistics staff and third-party vendors. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management. • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory management. • Proficiency in logistics software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. • Strong leadership and team management abilities. • Good communication and negotiation skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree (MBA in Supply Chain/Operations). • Certifications like Six Sigma, APICS, or CSCP. • Experience in international logistics and customs procedures. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • On-time delivery rate • Transportation cost efficiency • Inventory turnover ratio • Order accuracy rate • Warehouse productivity Work Environment • Combination of office and warehouse/field work • May require travel to distribution centers or vendor locations.
