Basic Information Position Title: Macroeconomic Data Analyst Experience Level: 2 - 3 years Department: Investment Ops and Risk Services Location: Bangalore (Hybrid) Job Description We are looking for a junior automation expert to support our macroeconomic research and data operations through automation and scripting. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Excel Macros, VBA, and Python, and a keen interest in economic data analysis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about streamlining data workflows and contributing to impactful economic insights. Candidates with relevant experience in KPO/Offshore set-up will be preferred. Key Responsibilities • Macroeconomics research: • Write macroeconomic snippets within short turnaround time. • Daily news summarization covering different countries. • Collaborate with team members and analysts to understand automation needs and deliver efficient solutions. • Document automation workflows and maintain version control of scripts and tools. • Support the preparation of automated charts, tables, and presentations for economic publications and briefings. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Excel and Python environments related to data integrity and automation logic. Must have experience in : 1. Foundational understanding of statistics and economic concepts. 2. Proficient in coding using Python or Excel. 3. Practical experience executing basic automation projects, including tasks such as data fetching, cleaning, collating, and analysis.
