About the Role Pearson is seeking a client-focused Portfolio Manager to lead the program development and deployment of custom courseware and training solutions for enterprise clients. This role bridges the gap between sales and solution delivery—engaging with clients during the pre-sales proposal phase; taking ownership of solution design, program strategy, and training execution; and collaborating across teams on post-sales delivery and support. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in content and training development, client engagement, and project management, with a passion for delivering impactful learning experiences tailored to enterprise needs. This role includes supervising a small team of individual contributors. Key Responsibilities • Participate in pre-sales discovery and post-sales program execution with external enterprise clients and internal Pearson teams. • Serve as the primary client interface post-sales for India-based and international clients. • Define and refine custom learning solutions and champion learning outcomes. • Lead solution development across content and training formats, including digital courseware, instructor-led training, and blended learning models. • Collaborate with cross-functional, global team including sales, product, instructional design, production, and delivery to translate client goals into scalable learning solutions. • Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise training projects—from scoping and budgeting to contract management, development, deployment, and post-launch support. • Create presentations and documentation for internal and client-facing consumption. • Oversee project P&L, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and internal standards. • Maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future engagement. • Stay current on industry and technology trends, learning modalities, and enterprise training needs to inform solution design. • Represent Pearson at client meetings, industry events, and internal strategy sessions. • Manage a small team of associates, leading, guiding, motivating, and developing at an individual and team level to align to business goals. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Instructional Design, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in enterprise content development, training deployment, client portfolio management, or business relationship management. • Demonstrated supervisory or team lead experience. • Proven success in managing complex, multi-format learning projects for enterprise clients or industry partners. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and content teams. • Occasional early/late hours for global schedules. • Ability to travel up to 10% for client meetings and industry events.
