Work Exp - 4Yrs+ Location: Whitefield, Bangalore Position: NKAM Reporting: Head of Modern Trade Role: IC (No Team Handling) About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented National Key Accounts Manager (NKAM) to lead and manage relationships with large modern trade accounts. The role will be responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring effective execution across key retail chains such as Reliance Retail, DMart, More Retail, and Tesco. Key Responsibilities Key Account Management • Manage and grow business with national modern trade accounts such as Reliance Retail, DMart, More Retail, and Tesco. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within these organizations. • Negotiate annual contracts, trading terms, and promotional agreements. Business Planning & Execution • Develop joint business plans with key accounts to drive revenue and category growth. • Ensure execution of promotions, product launches, and visibility initiatives across stores. • Monitor account-wise sales performance and ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets. Distribution & Availability • Ensure optimal product assortment and distribution across modern trade outlets. • Track secondary sales and ensure strong on-shelf availability. Trade Marketing & Promotions • Work closely with marketing and trade marketing teams to implement in-store campaigns and category initiatives. • Plan and execute promotional calendars aligned with key account priorities. Commercial & Financial Management • Manage trade spends, promotional budgets, and account profitability. • Track and reconcile claims, trade schemes, and promotional investments. Internal Collaboration • Coordinate with supply chain, finance, marketing, and regional sales teams to ensure smooth execution of business plans. • Provide market insights and competitor intelligence from modern trade channels. Desired Candidate Profile • MBA / Postgraduate in Sales, Marketing, or related field. • 6-10 years of experience in FMCG sales with strong exposure to Modern Trade / Key Account Management. • Proven experience managing large national retail chains such as Reliance Retail, DMart, More Retail, or Tesco. • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and analytical skills. • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive business growth in a competitive retail environment.
