About the job

ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking a highly analytical and diligent Network Business Analyst to serve as the financial and operational backbone for our Network Products and Services (NPS) team. This role is critical for ensuring the financial health, vendor performance, and strategic alignment of our network investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the network budget, providing detailed forecasting and tracking of all spending. You will own the process for creating, tracking, and managing contractor Statements of Work (SoW), ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-efficiency. By providing clear, data-driven insights, you will empower network leadership to make informed strategic decisions and maintain rigorous financial rigor. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Management & Budgeting: • Own the annual budgeting process for the NPS, working closely with leadership to forecast operational and capital expenditures. • Track and report on spending against the budget, providing monthly variance analysis and forecasting future spend. • Implement and maintain a robust system for tracking costs associated with hardware, software licenses, maintenance, professional services, and contractor labor. • Identify trends, highlight potential budget risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions. Vendor & Contractor Management: • Manage the contractor Statements of Work (SoW), including demand collection, financial validation, procurement coordination, and ongoing tracking of deliverables and spending. • Act as a key liaison between the Network team and Procurement, Legal, and Finance departments to ensure all engagements follow company policies. • Track contractor utilization and performance against SoW terms, ensuring value for money and raising flags for any scope creep or overages. • Assist in the analysis of vendor proposals and contract renewals from a financial perspective. Business Analysis & Reporting: • Build and maintain a suite of dashboards and reports to provide leadership with a clear, real-time view of financial health, resource allocation, and project spend. • Analyze network spending to find opportunities for cost savings and optimization, such as consolidating vendors or renegotiating contracts. Operational Improvement: • Streamline and standardize collaboration between financial, procurement, vendor management and network team. • Establish and enforce governance for raising purchase orders (POs) and engaging new contractors. WHAT YOU'LL BRING (Essential Skills & Experience) • 5+ years of experience in a business analyst, financial analyst, or vendor management role, preferably within a large IT or Network organization. • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking multi-million dollar budgets. • Demonstrable experience in drafting, managing, and tracking Statements of Work (SoW) and managing contractor resources. • High proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience in the financial services industry or another highly regulated sector. • Familiarity with common IT and network technologies and terminology (e.g., WAN, LAN, Firewalls). • Experience with enterprise financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms.
