Role: News Analyst Office Location: Thane Working Days: Monday to Friday and odd Saturdays Salary: Per Market Standards Job Description: • Monitor daily newsletters and news feeds to ensure accuracy, relevance, and overall news quality • Validate the tagged news articles for entities, sentiment, and categories in line with platform standards • Add new companies to the EWS platform after validating related identifiers • Verify entity profiles on the platform, including financials, GST, and PF data • Monitor and validate news captured for entities to ensure client-specific relevance on platform • Add, update, and refine keywords for entity, sentiment, and category tagging using SQL • Identify emerging themes and propose new categories and keywords based on latest news trends • Add or remove news articles to continuously improve platform content quality • Use SQL queries to extract news and entity data from databases • Analyze large news datasets using Excel formulas to generate insights • Identify gaps and opportunities to improve existing data and news-monitoring processes • Communicate with clients via emails and phone calls to address data, news, and platform-related queries • Collaborate cross-functionally with business analysts and technical teams to resolve data issues, improve tagging logic, and enhance platform performance Qualifications and Skills - Graduate/ Post graduate with specialization in Finance/ Banking/ Commerce - Graduation in Mass Media/ Social Media/ Digital Media - Experience 0 to 2-year in Finance Domain - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities - Proficiency in using analytical tools and software - MS Excel skills are a must - Knowledge of SQL preferred
