Operations Analyst
About the job
As an Operations Analyst at our company, you will be a crucial member of the Investment Operations Public team. Your primary role will involve assisting in the Bank debt processing related to Syndicated and private loans traded by the US Investment teams across all strategies. Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring Bank loan servicing events and ensuring that activity is processed accurately and timely across multiple accounts, funds, and special purpose vehicles - Monitoring data feeds and resolving exceptions to ensure that activity is reflected accurately by the end of the day - Working with the Bank Debt settlement team to ensure events between trade and settlement are accounted for and properly attributed to the settlement of trades - Collaborating with the Corporate Actions team to ensure events are captured and processed timely and accurately - Engaging with Agents, Custodians, and other parties to effectively research and resolve reported cash, position, and loan attribute breaks - Actively participating in/leading projects, collaborating, and providing valuable input with various stakeholders, both internal and external Your experience should include: - Strong fixed income product knowledge, particularly Bank Debts - 1-2 years of relevant operations experience with specific expertise and knowledge of syndicated and private loans - Interacting with front office personnel, accounting teams, agents, and custodian banks - Using industry utilities and software platforms such as Wall Street Office, ClearPar, and SS&C Loans - Comprehensive knowledge of agent notices including activity types and formats - Proficiency in the use of Markit - Experience in working with brokers, custodians, and agent banks - Experience in using the Geneva accounting system is preferred - Proficiency in Excel with the capability to use advanced functions for calculations and reconciliations - General computer literacy and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outstanding analytic and organizational skills Your personal attributes should include: - Outstanding initiative in identifying problems with a strong work ethic - Responsibility with a strong sense of dedication - Ability to adapt quickly to changes in workflow to maintain business continuity - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals across all levels - Team-oriented mindset with strong integrity and professionalism - Understanding the value of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and dedication to fostering an inclusive culture in all aspects of working life Your education background should be: - Educated to degree standard or equivalent
