Operations Manager

Job Purpose The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing end-to-end operations, including local and import purchasing, inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, supplier management, quality control, and internal sales support. The role will ensure operational efficiency, cost optimization, service excellence, and alignment with global standards. The position will be supported by a dedicated operations team. Key Duties & Responsibilities Operations & Supply Chain Management • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and internal sales activities. • Establish, implement, and continuously improve internal operational procedures, systems, and controls. • Ensure compliance with company policies, global standards, and local regulations. Purchasing & Supplier Management (Local & Imports) • Manage and develop a robust local supplier base for aluminium extrusions, accessories, gaskets, surface treatments, and related components. • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth, innovation, and risk mitigation. • Drive supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, service levels, and KPIs. • Work closely with the Global Purchasing Team to align sourcing strategies, negotiate terms, and implement global initiatives. • Coordinate import sourcing, including documentation, lead times, customs clearance, and cost optimization. Logistics & Warehousing • Develop and implement an effective logistics strategy for domestic and international movements. • Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries. • Oversee warehousing operations, including inventory control, stock accuracy, space optimization, and material handling. • Continuously improve logistics performance, lead times, and service reliability. Quality Control • Ensure quality standards are maintained across sourcing, inbound materials, storage, and dispatch. • Implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. Internal Sales & Customer Coordination • Support internal sales operations by ensuring material availability, order fulfillment, and delivery commitments. • Act as a key point of contact for operational communication with customers in India and abroad. • Monitor customer service levels and drive continuous improvement in delivery performance and responsiveness. Cross-Functional & Global Coordination • Coordinate closely with internal departments (Sales, Finance, Technical, and Management). • Maintain effective communication with HQ and related departments in Belgium. • Provide regular operational reporting, analysis, and improvement proposals to management. Team Leadership • Lead, guide, and develop the operations team. • Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and ensure skill development within the team.

Qualifications
- Graduate or Engineer (preferably in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields)
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
