This Position reports to: Business Manager - Portfolio Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The work model for the role is: #Li_onsite. This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Bangalore & Pune, India. You will be mainly accountable for: • Drive sales and marketing initiatives for Paint Robots, with a focus on new client acquisition and expanding market presence. • Engage confidently with senior management and key decision-makers, presenting solutions and building trust to convert prospects into business opportunities. • Respond to customer inquiries and leads, providing product recommendations, technical guidance, and tailored solutions for ABB products and applications. • Deliver effective customer presentations and proposals across multiple channels (phone, email, and face-to-face), ensuring clear communication of value propositions. • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, including proactive follow-up on payments and collaboration with internal sales teams to align priorities and achieve success. Qualifications for the role: • B.E. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) • 6–10 years of proven experience in sales/automation industry, with exposure to automotive customers preferred • Familiarity with PAN India customer base; hands-on experience with ABB paint robots and commissioning desirable • Basic knowledge of Controls and PLC; proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) • Strong customer-focused approach with demonstrated success in converting prospects into business • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written), with strong presentation abilities and confidence engaging senior management • Self-starter, highly result-oriented, with ability to conceptualize solutions creatively • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) and work onsite at customer locations.
