About the job
As a Process Lead in the Finance Department at Fidelity International in Gurgaon, India, your role will involve supporting the Toronto based Corporate Accounting team and Corporate Tax team. You will work closely with the Canadian Accounting team, Canada Tax team, and Canada Finance to meet accounting and reporting requirements and develop strong relationships with business partners. • *Key Responsibilities:** - Execute accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for the business - Take ownership over your work and contribute to the monthly and year-end close, producing various financial reports - Develop and implement new/enhanced systems and procedures to ensure adequate accounting and control - Support in creating standard operating procedures and process documentation for activities in Canada and India - Prepare schedules and documentation for all external and internal audits - Assist in preparation of IFRS compliant financial statements and stay abreast of industry developments - Implement new accounting policies and procedures, administer existing policies, and document internal operating and control procedures - Participate in special projects as assigned - Conduct interviews with Canadian Business process owners, identify financial reporting risks, test controls, and manage relationships with business partners • *Skills, Experience And Qualifications Required:** • *Technical** - Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in accounting, financial analysis, or controls - Thorough understanding of IFRS (US GAAP an asset) and proficiency in financial statement analysis - Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analytic skills - Experience in relationship management within financial services and working across functional lines - Prior experience with Control design and assessment or SOX Controls audits is an asset - Attention to detail, accuracy in transactions and reports - Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience working within a control framework, including developing controls, processes, and documenting procedures Feel rewarded with a comprehensive benefits package, support for your wellbeing and development, and flexibility in work arrangements.
