Job Title: Procurement and Supply Chain Manager Location: Navi Mumbai Experience Required 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain within the pharmaceutical industry Job Summary We are seeking a highly capable Procurement and Supply Chain Manager with substantial experience in the pharmaceutical sector to manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring timely sourcing, efficient inventory planning, vendor management, cost optimisation, and seamless coordination across functions to support uninterrupted business and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should bring strong domain understanding, commercial acumen, and operational discipline relevant to a regulated pharma environment. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities for pharmaceutical raw materials, APIs, excipients, packaging materials, engineering and manufacturing consumables, and other operational requirements Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of materials at optimal cost, quality, and service levels Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and vendors in line with business needs Oversee demand planning, material requirement planning, inventory control, and stock optimisation to support uninterrupted manufacturing and business operations Coordinate with production, quality, regulatory, warehouse, finance, and other internal teams for smooth supply chain execution Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery timelines, pricing, and service reliability Ensure compliance with internal processes, documentation requirements, and applicable pharmaceutical and manufacturing standards Support logistics, warehousing, and material movement to ensure operational efficiency Track market trends, supplier developments, and cost movements to support strategic sourcing decisions Prepare MIS, procurement reports, inventory trackers, and supply chain updates for management review Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Candidates from Science, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Supply Chain, Operations, or related fields will be preferred Additional certification in procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or operations will be an added advantage Experience Profile 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement and supply chain functions, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry Strong experience in sourcing and managing materials relevant to pharma and manufacturing operations Proven track record in vendor development, procurement planning, inventory management, and supply coordination Experience in handling procurement and supply chain activities in a structured and process-driven environment Skills Required Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes Good commercial negotiation and vendor management skills Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities Good analytical skills with attention to cost, timelines, and operational efficiency Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and reporting tools Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Candidate Profile Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be strongly preferred The candidate should have a practical understanding of supply continuity, planning, and procurement operations in a regulated manufacturing environment Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and cross-functional setup To Apply 📩 Send your CV to hr@techinvention.biz and connect@techinvention.biz Know someone who fits this role?
