What You Can Expect: The primary responsibilities of the Procurement Category Manager are to manage end-to-end procurement activities for their category and lead cross-functional supplier qualifications for Travel & P-Card category. They will be responsible for securing total cost of ownership reductions for their assigned category, define global strategy, and work with other counterparts globally to execute the regional strategies. How You'll Create Impact: • End-to-end accountability for defining the category and supplier strategy with stakeholders and delivering year-over-year cost reduction within their category. • Strategic interface with suppliers and accountable for building strong and strategic supplier relationships. • Understand supplier market dynamics/intelligence and use it as input into the strategy. • Monitor and report compliance to Source-to-Pay process for their category/suppliers. • Drive supplier selection according to strategy, develop supplier base, and identify new suppliers. • Ensure alignment, anticipate changes, and drive activities based on supply market changes and broader company/functional strategy. • Lead contract and price negotiations with suppliers. • Create and update supplier list according to category strategy. • Work closely with key stakeholders, member organizations and corporate functions to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. • Identify and define procurement best practices both within and external to Zimmer Biomet and ensure that those best practices are implemented in their category. What Makes You Stand Out: • 8+ years of track record in Strategic Procurement, specifically in Travel category. • Ability to develop high impact procurement strategies. • Previous experience with assigned category preferred. • Cost analysis and management, negotiation and project management skills. • Strategic thinking and leadership skills. • Internal stakeholder and supplier relationship management. • Excellent market information analysis skills and supply market knowledge. • Good conflict resolution skills. • Ability to work independently. Your Background: Required Skills: • Responsibility for the full category spend within Travel & Corporate Card category. • Proven experience in developing and executing procurement strategies, owning supplier relationships, conducting negotiations, performing cost analysis, and managing the RFP process. • Ability to act as a change agent within the organization. • Strong understanding of different market types with foundational knowledge adaptable to new geographies. • Experience working with internal stakeholders and external vendors. • Expertise in Global Procurement of Travel and Corporate Cards, including enterprise-wide corporate travel programs, corporate card systems, travel booking platforms, and expense management systems. • Familiarity with the travel and corporate cards market, key suppliers, and systems such as Concur. • End-to-end ownership of the entire procurement process for the category, from strategy through execution, including supplier and contract management. • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for analytics and reporting. Desired Skills: • Specialized Procurement or related certification or training preferred. • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or training preferred. Education and Experience Requirements: • Experience Range: 10+ Years. • Bachelor’s Degree in any related discipline is required. Travel Expectations: Upto 10% EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability.
