Job Description: Sourcing and Supplier Management: • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for chemicals, considering factors like quality, cost, reliability, lead times, Payment terms and other factors. • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring favourable payment terms and conditions. • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular reviews. • Able to develop new supplier/vendors as per requirements according to our SOP. • Able to develop new products as per requirements according to our SOP. Overseas Procurement Management: • Must have knowledge of chemical imports. • Must be aware about Shipping lines process, customs clearance, import documentation/process, payment modes etc. Procurement Strategy: • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies for chemicals, aligning with the company's overall objectives. • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the chemical market. • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies. Order Management: • Checking price quotations from regular and non-regular suppliers. • Process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, sailing days, and timely delivery of materials. • Follow-ups with suppliers for scheduling, contract terms, and other time-to-time activities. • Expedite orders as necessary to meet buyer’s schedules. Travelling/Visits: • Willing to travel. • Suppliers visit friendly. • Exhibitions visit friendly. Reporting and Analysis: • Prepare reports and analyses on cost savings, Future Strategies and planning, and other reports required by management time to time. • Supplier evaluations on the basis of supply time, delivery time etc time to time. Collaboration: • Collaborate with internal overseas branch offices for requirements, product quality, requirements, to ensure smooth procurement processes. • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in the procurement process. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field; MBA in supply chain management will give an advantage. • Experience in chemical procurement min 5 years. • Strong negotiation and communication skills. • Should be proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing. • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Understanding of supply chain dynamics and market trends. • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
