As a Product Development Manager for Headphones, your role involves various key responsibilities to lead the development of headphone or in-ear audio products. • *Role Overview:** You will be responsible for defining and managing the product roadmap for different headphone types, leading the product from idea to final launch. Additionally, you will work with designers to ensure comfortable and ergonomic designs, coordinate with engineers to add features like ANC, Bluetooth, and high-res audio, and ensure durable and user-friendly mechanical design. • *Key Responsibilities:** - Choose and test drivers based on sound goals - Tune acoustics and refine sound quality - Run tests for performance, noise cancellation, and battery life - Manage sample creation and mock-ups for prototyping - Handle all types of product testing including drop, wear, moisture, and sound - Work with vendors and factories for smooth production - Prepare BOMs and technical documents - Ensure parts and build quality are consistent - Perform safety and durability tests to ensure compliance with local standards - Lead and mentor a team of engineers - Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables - Report progress and issues to leadership • *Qualification Required:** - Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Acoustical Engineering or similar field In addition to the above responsibilities, you will work on product planning, sound performance, manufacturing supply chain, quality compliance, and team project management.
