Product Manager Exterior Premium Range
About the job
Job Purpose To lead the strategic and operational management of the Exterior Premium range of decorative paints, ensuring category growth through effective product lifecycle management, pricing strategy, brand positioning, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities • Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management • Own the product roadmap for the Exterior Premium paints segment. • Manage the entire product lifecycle from ideation, development, launch, growth, maturity to phase-out • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify gaps, rationalize SKUs, and drive innovation. • Market & Consumer Insights • Conduct market research and competitor benchmarking to identify trends, pricing dynamics, and consumer preferences • Develop and maintain buyer personas and customer segmentation strategies. • Go-to-Market & Brand Management • Define and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches and relaunches • Collaborate with the brand and communication teams to develop compelling product messaging, packaging, and promotional campaigns • Ensure alignment with digital marketing and retail activation plans. • Sales Enablement & Channel Support • Work closely with sales teams to develop trade schemes, POS materials, and training modules. • Monitor product performance across channels (retail, franchisee) and regions. • Pricing & Profitability • Develop pricing strategies that balance affordability with profitability. • Monitor input costs, margins, and suggest corrective actions to maintain category health. • Cross-Functional Collaboration • Liaise with R&D, supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure timely product development and availability • Drive sustainability initiatives in packaging and formulation in line with lifecycle assessment goals. Key Skills & Competencies • Strong analytical and strategic thinking. • Deep understanding of the decorative paints market, especially economy segments. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency in data analysis tools and product management software. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
