The Position: Product Manager (B2B | NHI) Organization: Jubilant Ingrevia Limited Designation & Level: Product Manager – NHI (B2B) Location: Corporate Office Reporting to: SBU Head – NHI Role Purpose The Product Manager – NHI (B2B) will drive strategic product leadership and innovation for the Nutrition & Health Ingredients portfolio by building a multi-year product roadmap, leading customer and application-led product development, enabling commercial success, and managing portfolio profitability through cross-functional execution and supplier partnerships. Key Responsibilities 1) Strategic Product Leadership & Roadmap • Develop and execute a multi-year B2B product roadmap aligned with customer needs, market trends, and business growth priorities. • Identify national and global trends in nutrition ingredients, health claims, and application formats to build differentiated offerings. • Map market gaps and white spaces across industries such as functional foods, beverages, dietary supplements, and nutrition solutions. 2) Support to Ongoing Product Range • Support current NHI product portfolio to ensure sustained growth and customer satisfaction. • Partner with Sales and Technical/Application teams to support customer queries, trials, reformulations, and troubleshooting for ongoing products. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for existing products through cost optimization, performance enhancement, and process improvements. 3) Product Innovation, Development & Commercialization • Lead end-to-end product development from concept → feasibility → sampling → scale-up → commercialization. • Translate customer requirements into clear technical product specifications for R&D, applications, and manufacturing teams. • Drive innovation through new ingredient technologies, improved functionality, and differentiated formats suitable for B2B customers. • Support creation of product documentation including spec sheets, technical dossiers, stability data, and application guidance. 4) Customer & Market Insights (B2B Focus) • Capture insights through customer interactions, industry forums, and competitive benchmarking. • Convert insights into new product concepts. 5) Cross-Functional Execution & Stakeholder Alignment • Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure smooth execution of product plans. • Lead governance forums to ensure alignment on timelines, cost targets, specifications, and launch readiness. 6) Portfolio & Profitability Management • Own portfolio performance across multi-year horizon including margins, cost optimization, and product lifecycle management. • Support segmentation and positioning based on customer industry, application needs, value proposition, and competitive differentiation. • Partner with Sales and Finance to develop business cases, pricing logic, and value-based positioning for key offerings. Qualifications & Experience • B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Technology and MBA from top B school • 6–10 years of experience in product development, preferably in B2B Nutrition / Ingredients. • Proven experience taking products from concept to commercial launch in a manufacturing-led environment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in scientific methods, experimental design, and structured innovation.
