Programme Manager/Professional skills development Trainer LP4Y- LIFE PROJECT 4 YOUTH Life Project 4 Youth is a federation of 19 organizations in 14 countries whose mission is the development of innovative solutions for the professional and social inclusion of Young people (17-24 yo) from extreme poverty and victims of exclusion. LP4Y supports the decent inclusion of thousands of Young people and their families in 41 programs, 20 Training & Development Centers, 6 Green Villages, 4 Little Angel Academies, 2 LP4Y Labs in South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, Europe and America. Over the past 15 years LP4Y has created solutions, always close to slum areas in large cities such as Manila, Cebu, Iligan, Cagayan de Oro, Calauan, Jakarta, New-Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur, Chennai, Kathmandu, Yangon, Dhaka, and Beirut. Currently, we are 140 Catalysts in Asia working with Young Adults contributing to the development of their country. Since 2009, 9300 youth have been accompanied to the professional world. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT CENTER (TDC) Since its beginning, LP4Y has developed TDCs: sustainable solutions for excluded Youth from rural areas. This soft skill training center has welcomed and trained already 100 Youth coming from skilling programs like Vocational Training Programs (VTPs) or other organisms (livelihood, other NGOs, associations...), helped them in developing professional grooming and employability skills (communication skills, organization and management, time management, business mindset, teamwork, citizenship…). The final objective is to help them to find a stable and decent job (by guiding them, without placement). This project uses a hands-on pedagogy in social and professional integration of Youth based on the 13 years experience of Life Project 4 Youth Foundation, LP4Y, specialized in integration of excluded Youth. In a team, the Youth create and develop micro-companies in order to develop skills, gain self-esteem and become actors of their life. POSITION DESCRIPTION Contract: local contract Duration: 12 months (renewable) - Full time - Day Shift Location: Mumbai Responsibilities and Duties: Following the LP4Y pedagogy, you will take part in coaching a team of 18 Young adults toward their social and professional inclusion: • Pedagogy and follow-up of the Young Adults so that they gain confidence in their capacity to act and therefore find and keep a decent job: personal money management, • Development of a Micro-Company Initiative (social entrepreneurship) to enable them to develop soft and hard skills. • Partnership development to create and develop an integration ecosystem for the Youth. • Organization, management, and reporting of the program activities. • Budgeting and budget management of the program activities. Profile: • Education: Bachelors and/or Masters directly linked to the mission would be an asset for the mission but it is not required. Your whole profile will matter. • At least 24 years old. • Work experience in the corporate sector will be appreciated. • Motivated and proactive profile who likes challenges and works in autonomy. • Volunteer spirit. • Will to commit for the inclusion of excluded youth. • Ready to learn and grow. Skills: • Fluent in Hindi and English. • Intermediate knowledge in MS office (Word, Excel, Drive, email…) • Team work: demonstrate ability to work in a multicultural, multi ethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. • Communicating and information sharing: facilitate and encourage open communication and transversal projects. • Self-management, emotional intelligence, and organizational Skills: stay composed and positive even in difficult moments, handle tense situations with diplomacy and tact, and take initiatives. Benefits: • Salary: 20,000 INR/month (non-negotiable) before taxes through bank transfer (not negotiable). Potential increase after one year. • Professional transportation when needed (partners meetings, Youth activities, yearly seminar, etc.) • Accommodation • Basic food in the center • Health Insurance Working Schedule: • Working time (about 40h/week) • Work days: Monday to Friday based on 8 working hours/day • Holidays: 2 days / month The Programme Manager agrees that during the term of his/her work, he/she shall not engage in any other trade business or occupation.
