Job Description Greetings from Smart Work IT Services, Project Manager – BFSI (Wealth & Asset Management) Location: Mumbai – Hybrid We’re looking for a Project Manager – BFSI (Wealth & Asset Management) with deep experience delivering complex technology and digital transformation programs within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance sector. Roles And Responsibilities • Provide leadership and oversee end-to-end delivery of strategic BFSI projects across the Wealth and Asset Management portfolio. • Define and drive project governance frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. • Lead the development of project plans, charters, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies ensuring scope, quality, and delivery adherence. • Leverage JIRA extensively for project planning, sprint tracking, reporting, and stakeholder visibility. • Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, Operations, and Business to deliver integrated solutions. • Manage stakeholder communication through structured reporting, dashboards, and governance forums. • Identify project risks and dependencies proactively while ensuring compliance with BFSI regulatory standards and data governance requirements. • Act as a Project Management Practitioner (PM Practitioner) contributing to internal PM frameworks, best practices, and process improvements. • Participate in interview panels to assess and onboard new project management talent. • Mentor junior project managers and support internal capability development initiatives. • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives including fintech integrations, platform modernization, and cloud adoption programs. Required Skills • Strong experience delivering complex projects within Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) environments. • Deep domain expertise in Wealth Management and Asset Management platforms. • Extensive hands-on experience with JIRA, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting. • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Agile project governance. • Understanding of investment lifecycle, portfolio management systems, and financial advisory platforms. • Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and large enterprise programs. • Experience managing regulatory compliance and data governance within financial services environments. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and influence delivery outcomes. • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field. • 9+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years in BFSI environments, particularly Wealth and Asset Management. • Strong experience delivering projects using Agile frameworks and JIRA-based delivery management. • Experience leading cross-functional programs involving technology, business, and operations teams. • Proven track record of managing large-scale enterprise initiatives within financial services organizations. • Experience mentoring project managers and contributing to project governance frameworks. Preferred Certifications • PMP or PRINCE2 • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist • PMI-ACP or ITIL (optional) • Project Management Practitioner (PM Practitioner) designation is highly desirable.
