Project Manager - Facade Design
About the job
Responsibilities • Perform day-to-day project activities as required by the project scope. • Maintain comprehensive budgets and project schedules. • Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations. • Prepare estimates and value engineering analysis during the design process. • Coordinate design related issue with Architect and clients • Help provide solutions and field fix documentation for execution and As-Built drawings. • Assist in the evaluation, analysis and selection of access tools and rigging required to install curtainwall scopes. • Review site safety plans and help communicate and administer specific requirements. • Maintain project tracking logs for % complete, change orders, RFIs and submittals, • Maintain Project Status Reports and participate in weekly internal project status meetings. • Review material take-offs for accuracy and completeness as prepared by the design department. • Work with Estimating on budget take-offs and vendor pricing as part of the Bid to Budget process. • Create plans and drawings for field logistics such as crating plans, installation sequence diagrams and field equipment layouts. • Review shop drawings and coordinate critical aspects of details • Maintain and update Scopes and Jobs defined by a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) within the WSP project tracking system. • Coordinate schedules and deliveries with field installation team and general contractor as required. • Attend weekly site Contractor Meeting as required. • Process submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests, change proposals and change orders. • Other responsibilities as required • Collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to interpret designs, develop facade solutions, and review technical documentation. • Monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage the budget to keep projects on time and under budget Qualifications • Monitor A master’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is often required • Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital for managing complex projects and diverse teams. • Understanding of the entire facade lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, installation, and testing, is expected • Several years of experience in facade engineering or construction is essential, with some senior roles requiring 10-15+ years. • Strong knowledge of materials science, structural analysis, building codes, and engineering principles is crucial BGV: • Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India. • Candidates are advised to ensure that all information provided during the recruitment process — including documents uploaded — is accurate and complete, both to WSP India and its BGV partner.”
