It offers strategic consulting, digital architecture, and sector-specific solutions across areas like transport, water, justice, and finance. The team enables large-scale e-Governance, data analytics, and automation to improve efficiency and citizen experience. >> About the role The Project Manager – Finance & Budgeting will manage end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and cost control for projects, including at least one government initiative. The role requires strong expertise in financial analysis, compliance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure projects are delivered within budget and regulatory standards. >>Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements. • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions. • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and cost-benefit analyses for ongoing and upcoming projects. • Ensure compliance with government financial guidelines and project-specific regulations. • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and government agencies for financial planning and approvals. • Oversee fund allocation, vendor payments, and audit processes for assigned projects. • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project profitability and sustainability. >>Required Skills & Qualifications: • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting techniques, and cost control. • Familiarity with government procurement processes and compliance standards. • Proficiency in financial software/tools and MS Excel. • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. >>Education: MBA/PGDM in Finance from a recognized institution. >>Experience: • Minimum 10 years of experience in Financing and Budgeting within Project Management. • At least 1 year or 1 full project experience in Government Projects. >>Preferred Certifications: • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) – for advanced financial analysis and investment management expertise. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) – for strong accounting and compliance knowledge. • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) – for budgeting, cost management, and strategic financial planning. • Project Management Professional (PMP) – for project management best practices. • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) – for government project financial compliance. >> Perks & Benefits • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision) and wellness programs • Competitive pay with performance bonuses and retirement benefits • Flexible work options and generous paid time off, including parental and sabbatical leave • Professional development through certifications, global mobility, and learning platforms • Inclusive culture with recognition programs, volunteering opportunities, and employee engagement initiatives KPMG India has a policy of providing equal opportunity for all applicants and employees regardless of their color, caste, religion, age, sex/gender, national origin, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or other legally protected status.
